Worker met tragic fate at Burolo site: putrefaction causes fatal machinery accident
In a tragic turn of events, a workplace incident occurred this morning in the town of Burolo, near Turin. A 61-year-old worker was unloading iron beams from a truck when he was crushed by some of the beams, resulting in critical injuries.
The incident took place in a shed at a company in Burolo. Upon learning of the incident, the worker was immediately rescued by his colleagues and entrusted to the care of the 118 personnel. The ambulance transport was in yellow code, indicating a serious condition, and the medical team stabilised the worker before transporting him to Ivrea Hospital.
The rescue team also called 112, and firefighters and the carabinieri of Ivrea intervened at the scene. Spresal inspectors of the ASL To4 have been dispatched to reconstruct the dynamics of the incident and verify the adherence to safety at work norms.
Unfortunately, this incident comes less than 24 hours after a similar incident in Leini, raising concerns about workplace safety in the province of Piedmont. However, no comment on this matter is provided in the article.
The authority responsible for investigating workplace accident incidents in Piedmont is the "Ispettorato Territoriale del Lavoro" (Territorial Labor Inspectorate). The public awaits their findings to gain a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding these incidents and to ensure the safety of workers in the future.
Our thoughts are with the affected worker and his family during this difficult time. The details of the incident are still under investigation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
