New on General Hospital: Willow's Mental Breakdown

We ain't without a heart for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) over on General Hospital. Still, we were stoked when the judge in her custody battle with Michael (Rory Gibson) sided with the Corinthos/Quartermaine heir. And let's face it, she's been one frustrating rodeo, sticking with the crummy Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) despite his wrong turns.

But her gut-wrenching breakdown in court? That was tough to watch, even for us hardened soap-watchers.

As General Hospital viewers saw in the June 12 episode, Willow could barely hold it together. She even wound up fainting and getting carted off to the hospital. There, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) informed Willow she'd be undergoing a psych evaluation.

By the way, over at the hospital, it's believed that Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and baby Daisy are still recovering after Sasha's recent delivery.

With all that in mind, it ain't hard to see why some folks think General Hospital's writers are setting up another Nina (Cynthia Watros) repeat. You remember, the time when Nina suffered a mental breakdown and ended up swiping Sonny and Ava's baby, Avery? Could it be that, after losing custody of her kids, Willow might snatch baby Daisy? It sure could.

If Willow pulls off the kidnapping, the whole of Port Charles will be on Red Alert. I mean, we're talking the Scorpios, the Spencers, the Quartermaines, and the Corinthos clans all turning the town upside-down to find the missing babe. Who do ya think'll find her first? Maybe sweet Nina herself or perhaps the voice of reason: Drew?

Should Willow opt for a life of crime thanks to the custody fallout, we suspect her tenure won't be long for this world. Shadybrook Sanitarium or Ferncliff Asylum could very well be in her not-too-distant future. But maybe that's best, 'cause it's high time Willow faced up to why she let Drew mess with her head in the first place.

Now, let's talk about mom of the hour. Nina should be feeling a tad guilty. After all, if she'd just been upfront about Drew with her daughter, Willow might not be in this whole mess. So, ya gotta ask yourself, "Was Carly (Laura Wright) right? Is Nina a rotten mom?"
