Frontman of 3 Doors Down Diagnosed with Terminal Cancer - Tour Annulment Announced - Singer from 3 Doors Down calls off the scheduled tour.
Y'all better strap in because the American rock 'n' roll scene's about to take a hit. That's right—3 Doors Down, the badass band that's been gracing our ears since the 90s with their southern rock grooves, had to shove their planned summer tour across the good ol' USA down the drain. Reason? Lead singer and rhythm gun-toter, Brad “The Bulldog” Arnold, got himself stumbled upon a pesky little health situation—cancer, they call it.
The man himself broke the news in an Instagram video post, sharing his recent misfortune with his legion of followers. Seems he's been feeling mighty under the weather these last few weeks, decided to knock on woodchuck's door, and boy, did that Woody punch him hard. Docs found a big old mass hogwalloping around in Arnold's pea patch—stage 4 clear cell renal carcinoma, to be precise, a particularly feisty type of kidney cancer that decided to set up camp in his lung.
3 Doors Down Wins American Music Award
Now, for a bit of backstory, Brad founded the band alongside a crew of Mississippi groovemasters way back in the 90s. They blew up internationally with their debut single "Kryptonite" (2000), and dropped their first album, The Better Life, a few months later. That baby earned them the American Music Award for best new artist in 2001. They were just getting warmed up, too, ‘cause they started stomping the stage in Germany not long after with their single "Here Without You." Other hits by the band include "When I'm Gone," "Let Me Go," and "It's Not My Time."
