At the start of the year, Margarita Simonyan disclosed her husband Tigran Keosayan had slipped into a coma. A 59-year-old director with a history of heart problems, he had survived two heart attacks and experienced clinical death at year-end. Unfortunately, he hasn't regained consciousness yet, leaving his loved ones in distress, especially his 86-year-old mother.
Margarita makes every effort to be by her husband's side during her free moments. Initially, she spent most of her time in the hospital following her husband's clinical death, but after a month, she returned home to attend to her children. Without their parents around, her kids were struggling, and their lives were falling apart, Margarita shared on Nagoya Podolskaya's YouTube show "Your Natasha."
"Within a month, the children started to unravel, and serious problems began to surface. Imagine, with no mom or dad at home. We have a very traditional family where mom and dad are at home most of the time. It's an overwhelming stress for them," Simonyan stated.
Margarita and Tigran have three kids: their eldest daughter, Mariane (12), their son Bagrat (11), and their youngest girl, Maro (5). Margarita confided that her children are taking their father's illness hard. Consequently, she decided not to bring them to the hospital and spare them from seeing their father in a coma, believing it would not bring any comfort to Tigran himself.
"The children know their father will recover, and we all must keep hoping, praying, attending church services, and lighting candles. The children don't visit the hospital because I don't think it would boost his spirits. If he can hear and understand, I believe he would admonish me for it. He's not an extraordinary man and is deeply concerned about their emotional state, which is quite volatile presently. I'm sure they don't need that right now," Simonyan said with conviction.
