Sauna patrons anticipate Bambados' reopening
Bambados, the city's popular indoor swimming and sauna facility, has reopened its doors on September 18, 2025, marking the start of a new season. The utility company's CEO, Michael Fiedeldey, has expressed that the discounted tickets aim to make Bambados accessible to those with lower incomes.
From mid-October, bathers and sauna guests are asked to present their ID at the cash desk for discounted entry. This move is intended to encourage the use of ID for discounted entry, thereby reducing queues at the cash desk.
The indoor swimming pool at Bambados opens weekdays at 6:30 am and weekends/public holidays at 7 am. The sauna area, which has undergone a scheduled technical check, opens daily at 10 am.
New sauna offers for the season include Klangschalen ceremonies and aroma salt peels, designed to stimulate relaxation. The first 'Chill Night' will take place on September 20, 2025, with an extended sauna session until midnight. Textile-free FKK bathing is possible after 10 pm on 'Chill Nights.'
Family tariffs at Bambados are also eligible for discount with a balance on the customer account. Children are allowed in the sauna area from 10 am to 6 pm on Family Sauna days, which are offered on the first Saturday of every month, starting from October 4.
Despite increased costs, there will be no increase in entry prices for the indoor swimming and sauna season at Bambados. Discounted tickets are available for students, apprentices, people with disabilities, SozCard holders, volunteers with Bavarian volunteer cards, and seniors aged 60 and above.
The combination of sauna heat, sound, and scent is said to provide a unique and relaxing experience for guests. The decision to introduce these innovative sauna offers was made by the sauna team led by team leader Matthias Puzik.
The entire Bambados is open until 10 pm, with the pool closing at 9:30 pm. The sauna remains open until midnight every monthly 'Chill Night.'
