Reutlingen Emergency Services Busy Tuesday: Fire, Accidents, and Thefts
Emergency services in Reutlingen had a busy Tuesday, responding to incidents ranging from a restaurant blaze to various accidents. Fortunately, no major injuries or property damage were reported.
The day started with a fire at a restaurant on Karlstraße. The conflagration, caused by hot oil, produced heavy smoke but was quickly extinguished by the owner using two fire extinguishers. No injuries or property damage were reported.
In Wilsingen, a worker was trapped on a vehicle roof while dismantling a machine. They were airlifted to the general hospital by helicopter.
Later, a woman fell from a horse in Neckartailfingen and was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
A cyclist also ended up in hospital after a fall on Frankenstraße in Reutlingen.
Meanwhile, several people were caught stealing clothes from a container on a parking lot in Nürtingen.
In a traffic incident, a man driving an Audi A4 drifted onto the opposite lane and scraped along a bus on Stuttgarter Straße in the Aich district. The Audi was severely damaged and had to be towed away, while the bus driver sustained minor injuries.
Investigations are ongoing into the causes of the incidents, with the Alb police post and occupational safety and environmental department involved. Despite the busy day, emergency services managed to contain the situations and ensure the safety of those involved.
