Renault Group broadens its assistance to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing in France
Renault Group Launches New Tool for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Community on World Deaf Day 2023
In a significant move towards inclusivity, the Renault Group is set to launch a new communication platform on World Deaf Day, 25th September 2023. This innovative tool aims to support and welcome deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals within the French commercial network.
The platform, accessible at sourdline.renault.fr/ and sourdline.dacia.fr/, can also be found under the "Contact Us" section on the Renault and Dacia France websites. It will be available at nearly 400 dealerships across France, facilitating communication between users (customers) and network professionals for sales and after-sales activities.
The service extends to both new and used Renault and Dacia vehicles, as well as after-sales activities, including workshop appointments. It is designed for use by vehicle and used vehicle sales advisors, as well as after-sales customer advisors.
The platform connects advisors, deaf or hard-of-hearing customers, and interpreters for communication. Users can choose to connect with a video interpreter (French Sign Language) or a transcriber (Instant Speech-to-Text) for communication.
Since 2018, the Renault and Dacia France network has partnered with Sourdline to offer a dedicated service for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. This collaboration has resulted in the development of this new tool, which will operate from Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
In case of a breakdown, users can also contact Renault Assistance or Dacia Assistance by SMS, regardless of the vehicle's brand, for 24/7 support.
This initiative underscores Renault Group's commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and ensuring equal access to its services for all individuals. The new tool is a testament to this commitment and a significant step forward in promoting accessibility within the automotive industry.
