In September 2025, Bavaria will host the 6th Dementia Week, emphasizing compassion, education, and practical aid amidst memory loss struggles. This event spans from the 19th to the 28th, with our group contributing a variety of activities, including dialogues, consultations, and cultural events.

The County of Fürth is gearing up for a week-long series of events aimed at raising awareness and providing support for those affected by dementia. The 6th Bavarian Dementia Week is taking place from 19 to 28 September 2025, and numerous events are planned across the county.

In Cadolzburg, residents can look forward to a variety of activities. On 23 September at 2:30 pm, a storytelling café will be held, providing an opportunity for individuals to share their experiences and connect with others. A singing event is scheduled for 25 September, followed by a lecture by Doris Last titled 'Dementia - Myth or Reality' on 26 September at 6 pm. Activity boxes for people with dementia will be presented during Doris Last's lecture. An ecumenical service with the theme 'Dementia & Remembering' is scheduled for 28 September.

In Langenzenn, a memory training is scheduled for 16 September, and a dementia parcours is planned for 9 October. A reading will take place on 26 September, and a cinema afternoon with coffee and cake is offered on 26 September as well.

The Sparkasse in Zirndorf will host the 'Demensch' exhibition by cartoonist Peter Gaymann, which will run for 14 days starting on 22 September at 5 PM. The exhibition is presented by 'Dementia-Friendly Zirndorf' together with the Sparkasse.

The FORUM Stein will host an action stand on 26 September, featuring Tanja Maier, Yvonne Götz, and the dementia-friendly community Stein. The stand will provide information about aid and support offers in the county, as well as consulting services and ways to relieve relatives.

In addition to these events, individual consultation on the topic of dementia will be offered in the Linden pharmacy, Veitsbronner Straße 21, Veitsbronn on 23 September from 10 to 1 o'clock. A senior film afternoon addressing dementia is offered in the citizens' hall of Wilhermsdorf on 28 September at 3 pm.

The County of Fürth is committed to supporting those affected by dementia and creating a more dementia-friendly community. These events are open to everyone and aim to raise awareness, provide support, and foster understanding about dementia.
