The Bundespolizeiinspektion Würzburg, a division of the Federal Police, has launched an investigation against an Algerian man following a disturbing incident on a train near the city of Würzburg on September 13th.

According to reports, the man refused to leave the train toilet after being asked to present a valid ticket. This refusal led to a series of events where the man locked himself in the toilet and spat at a train employee.

The situation escalated as the man re-entered the train at another location and physically attacked two passengers. The suspect kicked, punched, and spat at the passengers during the attack. Fortunately, passengers intervened and managed to restrain the aggressive man until he was handed over to the federal police.

Two passengers who intervened sustained minor injuries, one of whom sought medical attention. The suspect also suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The Federal Police Inspectorate Würzburg is investigating the man for dangerous bodily harm, insult, and fraud. The inspectorate, which is one of fifteen federal police inspectorates under the Federal Police Directorate Munich, is responsible for ensuring the safety of train users and facilities.
