Obsessed with the notion of becoming a notorious murderer.

In a shocking turn of events, a 26-year-old woman from Ulm, Germany, was sentenced to life imprisonment by a court in October 2024 for the murder of a 46-year-old man from Göppingen. The victim was discovered with 27 stab wounds in his apartment.

The court heard that the two had arranged a sexual encounter through a fetish platform. On the day of the incident, the woman had initially intended to strangle the victim but lacked the strength. Instead, she resorted to stabbing him multiple times.

During the murder, the woman put a sleep mask on the victim, tied him naked to a chair with ropes on his legs, arms, and torso, and wore headphones to block out noise. She also recorded the victim's later struggle and showed the murder video to a friend.

The woman's motive for the murder was not just the thrill of killing but also to become a serial killer and make history. She felt an inner void and found her life meaningless, and her actions were driven by a desire for recognition and fame as a serial killer.

However, the court did not accept the defendant's claim that she killed out of hatred for men. The woman, who holds both German and Spanish citizenship, was diagnosed with a personality disorder.

This case bears similarities to other serial killers sentenced to life imprisonment for murders during sexual encounters. Aggravating factors such as stalking, forced restraint, premeditation, and sadistic control motives are often present in such cases. John Getreu, who pleaded guilty to the murder of a woman named Perlov, is a documented instance where the motive explicitly involved a sexual assault attempt met with resistance leading to murder. Dennis Rader, also known as the BTK Killer, is another example, illustrating detailed aggravating conduct and calculated victim control during sexualized murder.

The verdict is not yet final, and the woman's early release after 15 years is practically impossible due to the established aggravating circumstances.

  1. The woman's music playlist on her phone, filled with dark and sinister tracks, hinted at her desire for notoriety and her interest in the world of crime-and-justice.
  2. As the trial progressed, experts in the field of health-and-wellness and mental-health testified that the woman's actions were deeply rooted in her need for recognition and a distorted sense of self-worth, exacerbated by her undiagnosed personality disorder.
  3. In a bizarre twist, it was reported that the woman started a podcast in prison, focusing on science topics such as criminal psychology and forensic pathology, aimed at increasing her knowledge about her chosen profession and garnering attention in the general-news sphere.
