Northern Light Health Closes Waterville Walk-In Clinic by Year's End
Northern Light Health has announced changes to its services in Waterville. The walk-in care clinic will close by the end of the year, following the closure of Inland Hospital in May. Meanwhile, Northern Light Primary Care locations in Unity and Madison will continue operating.
The decision to close the Waterville clinic comes as part of broader organisational changes initiated by Northern Light Health this summer. The closure was announced just hours before the expiration of Northern Light's contract with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. The exact closing time of the walk-in service is set for 5:00 PM. Despite the announcement, Northern Light Health has not provided a specific date for the closure. It is worth noting that while Inland Hospital closed in May, the walk-in services previously operated by Mercy Hospital remained open.
Northern Light Health's walk-in care services in Waterville are set to close by the end of the year, marking another change in the city's healthcare landscape. Meanwhile, Northern Light Primary Care locations in Unity and Madison will continue to serve their communities.
