Minister Condemns Surgeon Assault, Vows Better Protection for Kazakh Medical Workers

Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi has condemned an incident where a surgeon was assaulted at the Central District Hospital in Talgar. The on-duty surgeon suffered a concussion and is now receiving medical care. The incident has sparked concern and calls for improved protection and rights for medical professionals in Kazakhstan.

The assault occurred in the emergency department of the hospital. It was not the first such incident; previously, a relative of a patient had beaten a surgeon on duty at the Talgar hospital. These incidents have highlighted the need for better protection and working conditions for medical professionals.

In response, the Ministry of Health has developed a draft regulatory act. This act aims to enhance the status of medical professionals, protect their rights, and improve their working conditions. The Minister, Alexei Tsoi, has pledged to defend the rights of all medical workers in the country.

Tsoi expressed shock and concern over the recent incident. He described it as 'an intolerable fact that requires special attention'. He also noted that resolving conflicts through violence is unacceptable in a civilized society.

The Minister of Health has condemned the assault on the surgeon and is committed to improving the rights and working conditions of medical professionals in Kazakhstan. The draft regulatory act is a step towards achieving this, and the Minister plans to ensure its successful implementation.
