Marburg Hosts Free Breast Cancer Awareness Events in October
The University City of Marburg is hosting two free events this October to raise awareness about breast cancer and strengthen prevention. No registration is required for the main event, the 'October Walk', but participants are encouraged to wear pink or rose clothing to increase visibility.
The month-long campaign kicks off with an information session about breast cancer screening on October 22. This event requires registration due to limited seating, which can be done via email to [email protected] or by calling (06421) 201-1599. Experts from the UKGM university clinic will be present to share valuable insights.
The 'October Walk' takes place on October 25, starting at 11 AM at the Aquamar parking lot and concluding around 1 PM. A break is planned along the route to ensure participants' comfort. This event aims to raise awareness about the prevention and early detection of breast cancer, aligning with International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The University City of Marburg invites all to participate in these free events, with the 'October Walk' being a highlight where registration is not required. Wearing pink or rose clothing is encouraged to increase visibility and show solidarity. These events aim to educate and empower the community in the fight against breast cancer.
