Ghani Souleymane, a Togolese athlete residing in Dubai, has embarked on an extraordinary journey - a 100-day consecutive T100 triathlon challenge. The mission, which began on August 8, 2025, at Kite Beach, Dubai, aims to raise funds and awareness for children battling cancer and support inclusive sports for children and adults with disabilities[1][2][3].

Each day, Ghani undertakes a triathlon consisting of a 2km swim, an 80km cycle, and a 18km run, with the challenge concluding on November 16, 2025, at the T100 Race Village[1][3][4]. This grueling endeavour covers a cumulative effort of approximately 200km swimming, 8,000km cycling, and 1,800km running[1].

The funds raised from Ghani's challenge will support the Al Jalila Foundation, contributing to the construction of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Charity Hospital, as well as Heroes of Hope, an initiative promoting inclusive sports in the UAE[2].

Ghani, a 42-year-old known for his endurance feats, is no stranger to pushing his physical and mental limits. He believes that his challenge is bigger than sport and aims to show what is possible when fully committed[3]. To maintain his energy levels, Ghani consumes approximately 7,000 calories a day, provided by Dubai-based SKitchen, with nutritionist Yuri Nemoto overseeing his diet[1].

Throughout the event, Ghani faces numerous challenges, including muscle fatigue, joint strain, overuse injuries, and weather conditions, particularly heat and humidity[1]. Despite these obstacles, Ghani emphasises the importance of rapid daily recovery to sustain the extreme workload[1][3].

The challenge aligns with Dubai’s sports calendar and global T100 triathlon events, pursuing a Guinness World Record for most consecutive T100 triathlons completed[2][4]. Ghani's effort has garnered sponsorship and community support focused on health accessibility and social impact[4].

Ghani invites residents to come out and support him at various stages of the challenge, demonstrating that everyone can take steps towards a healthier lifestyle, no matter their starting point[1]. As Ghani pushes his limits, he shines a light on the resilience and courage of children battling cancer, inspiring all to make a difference in their communities.
