Evangelical Hospital Herne Hosts Senior Day Event on August 13
The Evangelical Hospital Herne (EvK Herne) and its cooperation partners within the EVA Ruhr Geriatric Network are organising a Senior Day event on August 13, 2022, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the hospital's seminar center. This event offers a unique opportunity for seniors and their relatives to gain insights into the wide range of services available to support them in their golden years.
The event showcases ambulatory care, care facilities, and senior care services, all designed to cater to the unique needs of elderly patients. The EvK Herne, with its partners, presents support options for old age, including Betreuungsassistenz, geriatric surgery accompaniment, family care, and liaison service.
The liaison service of the EvK, specifically Petra Ebbinghaus and Michaela Pichol, are the organisers of the Senior Day event. The day also marks the 10th anniversary of the liaison service.
The seminar center at the EvK will be bustling with activities during the event. ReVital, the health and rehabilitation sports provider at the EvK, will demonstrate ways to maintain mobility into old age. The "Active for Palliative" initiative will provide freshly baked waffles, coffee, and cake, aiming to contribute to the physical well-being of the attendees.
The event features two informative lectures. Dr. Sylke Düllberg-Boden will present on "Headaches in Old Age," followed by Anne Pfannenstiel's talk on legal guardianship titled "When the paperwork becomes too much...".
