Lane College Board Acknowledges Inappropriate Behavior Towards Black President

Lane Community College's Board of Education has acknowledged inappropriate behavior towards its President, Stephanie Bulger, a Black woman. The college board has apologized for harm caused and committed to rectifying the situation.

The college board recognized that they had frequently dismissed Bulger and deferred to male staff members, with former chair Zach Mulholland displaying hostility and physically intimidating a student at a meeting.
