The man responsible for the woman's death is currently under investigation for murder. The trial at the Munich I Regional Court revealed that the man confessed to having tortured the woman with a metal rod, strangled her with her sweater, and set her on fire, claiming that God had ordered him to commit the murder because the woman was a witch.
Eleonora Nagy, the mother of the victim, stated, "My child was killed by a monster." She was "dumbfounded" that someone was trying to "sweep this under the rug." Jella von Wiarda, the lawyer for the family of the deceased, demanded "legal, rule-of-law processing" at a press conference on May 6, 2023.
The Isar-Amper Clinic declined to comment on the incident when asked by dpa, including whether security measures there had been tightened since the violent death in 2022. The clinic's current position remains unclear.
