Indrani Egleston appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer by ECRI.
In a significant move for the healthcare industry, Indrani Egleston has been named the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at ECRI, an independent nonprofit organisation dedicated to improving the safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of care across all healthcare settings. With over 25 years of experience in financial and strategic management, Egleston's expertise will be instrumental in supporting ECRI's mission to improve healthcare safety and quality.
ECRI, respected and trusted by healthcare leaders and agencies worldwide for its work in technology evaluation and safety, has built its reputation on integrity and disciplined rigor. The organisation is federally certified as a Patient Safety Organization by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and operates locations in the U.S., Netherlands, United Kingdom, Malaysia, UAE, and Canada.
One of ECRI's most significant acquisitions was The Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) in 2020, which aimed to address medication errors. Another strategic move was the acquisition of The Just Culture Company in 2024 to transform healthcare workplace cultures.
Egleston's career trajectory shows extensive experience in strategic financial leadership, which now informs her impact on healthcare. Prior to joining ECRI, she held advancing financial leadership positions at large public companies, including Covia Corporation and Nordson Corporation. She also has a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
In her new role, Egleston will bring her expertise in critical financial disciplines that are instrumental for sustaining and growing organisations focused on healthcare improvement, including internal audits and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), which can affect scaling patient safety technologies and initiatives.
