Costco has announced several recalls for various products sold in its stores, including Kirkland Signature Prosecco Valdobbiadene, Dubai Style Chocolate, and BowFlex Adjustable Dumbbells, among others. Here's a breakdown of the recalls and what customers should know.
Firstly, Kirkland Signature Prosecco Valdobbiadene (Item #1879870) has been recalled due to the risk of unopened bottles shattering. Customers who purchased this item are advised to dispose of the product safely and bring the letter to the warehouse for a full refund. It is important to note that this recall is not related to any reported injuries or illnesses.
In a separate incident, Dubai Style Chocolate (Item #1932972) has been recalled due to incorrect labeling of gluten as an allergen. Customers who have a wheat allergy can return the item to the warehouse for a refund.
The recall of BowFlex Adjustable Dumbbells has not resulted in any reported injuries. However, the recall does involve the BowFlex Selecttech 552 and 1090 models due to the weight plates dislodging from the handle during use, posing an impact hazard. The recall does not involve any other models apart from the Selecttech 552 and 1090.
Costco is also recalling the Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu, sold at select Costco locations between October 30, 2024, and November 30, 2024, due to potential foreign material contamination. It is important to note that this recall does not affect any other over-the-counter medicines sold by Costco.
Intex and Bestway Above-Ground Pools, specifically 48 inches and taller with compression straps running on the outside and over the vertical support legs, are being recalled due to a drowning risk. The recall is due to the compression strap that surrounds the outside of the pool legs creating a foothold, allowing a child access to the pool and posing a drowning risk.
The Segway Ninebot Electric Kickscooter (Item #1567456) has been recalled due to the folding mechanism failing, which can cause the handlebars or stem to fold while the scooter is in use, posing a fall hazard to consumers. It is worth noting that this recall has not resulted in any reported injuries.
Lastly, Pura 4 Smart Fragrance Diffuser Bundles (Items #1835194 & #1919054) have covers with magnets that could detach over time, posing a risk if ingested. Costco is offering a replacement cover for customers who may be affected.
Customers who have purchased any of the recalled items are advised to follow the instructions provided by Costco and the relevant authorities for safe disposal and refund procedures.
