Aid for Improving Home Ownership for Specialists in Kuban
Healthcare professionals in Krasnodar region may receive bonuses of up to 1,500,000 rubles.
The social mortgage program, initiated by Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, is still rolling out in Kuban. The main focus is to aid specialists in the social sector, including healthcare professionals, in acquiring their own homes.
Since 2022, participants in this program have been eligible for a subsidy of up to 1 million rubles to cover their initial mortgage payment. Candidates should be specialists who have lived in the region for a minimum of 10 years and don't own their own homes or live in overcrowded conditions to qualify for this financial assistance. After receiving the subsidy, they must commit to working in the region for at least 5 years.
The program encompasses various property types, ranging from primary and secondary markets to house construction or renovation. So far, over 2,700 specialists have managed to purchase their homes, and among them, 348 are healthcare workers. In 2021 alone, 89 medical professionals received payments.
Later, by 2025, program conditions were made more lenient in Krasnodar: medical and educational professionals can receive up to 1.5 million rubles. This support is not only for doctors but also for nurses, midwives, and ambulance drivers. The regional authorities have earmarked 750 million rubles for this initiative, and more than 200 Krasnodar residents have already made use of the new support format, including 41 doctors, 76 mid-level medical staff, and ambulance drivers. They can secure a mortgage at an interest rate of up to 12% per annum.
