Green, Tamy Lee, accused of unlawful cyber-stalking and harassment following her online activities
In the small town of Sheridan, Wyoming, the community is mourning the loss of Tamy Lee Green, a beloved resident who passed away on December 1, 2024. Green was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, leaving behind a rich legacy of service and resilience.
Born in Sheridan, Green spent her formative years in the town she would later call home. She graduated from Sheridan High School and attended Sheridan College, setting the foundation for a life dedicated to learning and personal growth.
Green married Dennis Green on April 28, 1973, and together they raised a family. She was a dedicated stay-at-home parent, providing a nurturing and loving environment for her children. Tragically, Green lost her husband and only son, Darby Green, to suicide, events that deeply affected her mental and physical health.
Despite the challenges she faced, Green remained a pillar of strength for her family and the community. She found solace in hobbies such as hunting, fishing, playing cards, bowling, and, later in life, motorcycle riding and attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Green was also an active volunteer, dedicating her time to causes close to her heart. She was a Girl Scout leader for several years, instilling in young girls the values of leadership, teamwork, and community service. Green also volunteered in the school and at the Food Group, where she packed food bags for children in need.
Green's life was marked by loss, but she never let it define her. She faced her struggles with courage and determination, a testament to her resilience. However, her story serves as a reminder that suicide and mental health issues are topics that need to be talked about and normalised.
The Sheridan Police Department Officers have specialized training (CIT) when working with mental health needs, a testament to the community's commitment to supporting those in need. If you or a loved one are struggling with mental health issues, remember that you are not alone. Seek help by calling 988, going to the nearest ER, or contacting Northern Wyoming Mental Health.
Arrangements for Green are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life for Green will be from 1-3pm at the Elks Lodge on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Memorials to honour Green can be made to the Food Group, 1141 Crood St., Sheridan, WY, 82801.
Green is survived by her daughter Michelle Hirsch, grandson Colton Hirsch, brothers Lonnie Sarratt, William Reynolds, and Danny O'Quinn, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dennis Green, son Darby Green, parents, sister Kimberly Murillo, and brother Gerald Hockett.
