Giessen Senior Fair 2025: 'Growing Older Together' on Oct 11

The Giessen Senior Fair 2025 is set to take place on Saturday, October 11, at the Congress Hall from 10 am to 4 pm. Organized by the 'Round Table - Aging in Giessen', this annual event aims to promote a new culture of aging and support the needs of older people. Admission is free and the fair is barrier-free, with sign language interpretation available upon request.

The fair's theme, 'Growing Older Together - Informed, Engaged, and Active', encourages seniors, their relatives, and interested professionals to participate. The Street of Engagement will showcase local initiatives and associations inviting seniors to join in their offers. The day will kick off with an opening ceremony led by Social Affairs Commissioner Francesco Arman and the Giessen Senior Choir.

The fair will feature a Repair Café for fixing small electronic devices and a Rollator Parkour to assist with mobility. An exciting framework program will include activities like line dance, seated dance, and refreshments in the bistro. The exhibition will display local providers offering information and services on health, leisure, care, daily living aids, safety, precautions, and funerals.

The Giessen Senior Fair 2025 promises a colorful atmosphere, interesting conversations, and new contacts among attendees. With free admission and barrier-free access, it's an inclusive event not to be missed. The 'Round Table - Aging in Giessen', comprising local branches of Round Table, Ladies' Circle, Agora Club, Tangent, and Old Tablers, works together to support social projects and community engagement, making this fair a true celebration of aging in Giessen.
