Huntington's disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. Every child of a parent with HD has a 50/50 chance of inheriting the faulty gene. Currently, there are approximately 41,000 symptomatic Americans and more than 200,000 at-risk of inheriting Huntington's disease.

The Team Hope Walk takes place at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. The event is held rain or shine and involves community participation to promote awareness and fundraising for Huntington's disease. Proceeds from the walk will support HDSA's mission to improve the lives of people affected by Huntington's disease and their families.

For more information, participants can download the event app and the weather app from the HDSA website. The Team Hope Walk is an excellent opportunity for the community to come together, raise awareness, and support a worthy cause.

The Team Hope Walk, taking place in over 100 cities nationwide including the Madison edition, aims to support not only Huntington’s disease research but also the services provided by the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA), particularly focused on health-and-wellness, mental-health, and medical-conditions such as neurological disorders.
