Female-dominated lineup announces for ZMF Freiburg 2025 concert event, breaking previous records for gender representation
The 41st Freiburg Zelt-Musik-Festival (ZMF) is currently underway, attracting music lovers from far and wide. With over 70 concerts scheduled, the festival has already sold an impressive 45,000 tickets, nearing the 2022 record of 50,000. Just 5,000 tickets remain, ensuring a lively atmosphere for the remaining days of the event, which will continue until August 3.
The festival's lineup boasts a notable number of international female artists, including Anastacia, Patti Smith, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Angélique Kidjo, and Gianna Nannini. Notable acts such as Les Yeux d'la Tête, The Hooters, Beatsteaks, and Lea have already sold out, with Amy Macdonald set to join them in the big ZMF Tent to sold-out crowds.
The Austrian artist Soap&Skin will also take the stage, performing with the Philharmonic Orchestra Freiburg under André de Ridder. Admission to the ZMF grounds is free this year, making the festival more accessible than ever.
However, the festival faces potential challenges due to the Dietenbach construction site, which could result in the loss of over 100 parking spaces. Construction projects like these can impact nearby events by reducing parking availability, causing detours, and affecting access routes. For specific details about the impact of the Dietenbach construction site on parking at the Zelt-Musik-Festival 2022, updates from the festival organizers are recommended.
Despite these potential issues, visitors can still reach the ZMF by bike, public transportation, or using P+R facilities with shuttle buses from Munzinger Straße. Additionally, an entrance ticket is valid as a fare in the entire RVF transport network (three hours before the event).
The ZMF offers a diverse range of concert prices, with big concerts costing more than 70 euros, smaller ones half that, and many bands and performers playing for free. The state of Baden-Württemberg is contributing 60,000 euros for the free action program and offers for children and young people at the ZMF.
With its vibrant atmosphere, diverse lineup, and accessible location, the Zelt-Musik-Festival 2022 is not one to be missed. Keep an eye on updates regarding parking to ensure a smooth festival experience.
