Hangin' with the Big Shots in Neuss
Neuss District. Landrat Hans-Jürgen Petrauschke fist-bumped Urs Vögeli, the fresh face leading Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine's German branch based in Neuss-Rossellen. If you aren't familiar with this powerhouse, it's the pharmaceutical wing of the colossal US conglomerate Johnson & Johnson, also known as Janssen GmbH. The get-together took place at Neuss Town Hall, rounding up Christian Thams, head honcho of "Government Affairs & Policy" at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Robert Abts, economic whiz in the district administration, and Benjamin Josephs, district mouthpiece.
Petrauschke, the local boss, gushed about Janssen's crucial role in the district's thriving global presence and its key contribution as a job provider. He warmly appreciated the decades of loyalty Janssen has shown to Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Vögeli, in return, couldn't hide his excitement for being back by the Rhine and its tributary Erft, reminiscing about it as his second home where he had lived and worked before.
Vögeli slid into the big boss' shoes, replacing Andreas Gerber who moved up to the Janssen headquarters in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Reflecting on his journey, Vögeli spoke fondly of his time as "Commercial Director Oncology and Hematology" and a member of the management board in Neuss-Rossellen, roles he held until 2018.
Petrauschke and Vögeli agreed to keep the dialogue and partnership alive moving forward.
