Eight Sleep's New Pod Pillow Cover Uses AI to Cool Heads, Improve Sleep
Eight Sleep, a company focused on enhancing sleep quality, has launched the Pod Pillow Cover. This innovative product employs AI-powered cooling to maintain a stable, cooler temperature for the head and neck, potentially reducing sleep onset time by up to 20 percent, as shown in clinical studies.
The Pod Pillow Cover, developed by Matteo Franceschetti, Eight Sleep's founder and CEO, uses silent hydro channels to keep the pillow up to 25 degrees cooler than traditional covers. It fits over standard or king-sized pillows, preserving their feel and firmness. The cover is compatible with Eight Sleep's existing Pod Cover and Pod Blanket, creating a complete sleep system.
The new product is designed for individual or couple use. Each Pod Pillow Cover can be controlled independently, allowing partners to maintain their preferred temperature. A single Hub powers two covers on the same bed. The Pod Pillow Cover is now available through Eight Sleep's website, priced at $1,049 for one and $1,649 for two.
Eight Sleep's Pod Pillow Cover, priced at $1,049 for one and $1,649 for two, joins the company's suite of products aimed at reinventing sleep. By addressing temperature variables, Eight Sleep targets the global sleep market, estimated to be worth around $500 billion.
