The city of Augsburg is set to honour women's achievements in business with the 2025 "Augusta - Women in Business Award". Hosted by Eva Roessler, a prominent advocate for diversity, women's advancement, and gender equality, this prestigious event will take place on October 23, 2025.

Eva Roessler, a former TV editor and PR professional who currently serves as a corporate spokesperson for ClimatePartner, will oversee the award ceremony. The event will feature four categories: Businesswoman of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Innovator of the Year, and Social Entrepreneur of the Year.

Nominations for these categories have been extended to August 15, 2025. Companies, institutions, and private individuals are encouraged to nominate candidates who have made significant contributions to the innovation hub of Augsburg through outstanding innovations in their company or research institute.

Nominations should include a description of the professional and economic achievements and their impact on the economy. Last year's winners were Ariane Grandel (Grandel - The Beautyness Company) in the Entrepreneur of the Year category, Dr. Baerbel Goetz (BMK Group GmbH & Co. KG) as Manager of the Year, Marwa Klink (MT Aerospace AG) as Newcomer of the Year, and Lisa Figas (TelemetryDeck GmbH) as Tech Pioneer of the Year.

The Social Entrepreneur of the Year category recognizes women who positively impact society through their company and serve as role models for corporate social responsibility, integrating ecological, social, and economic factors into business activities.

The jury for the award consists of renowned experts from business, science, and politics. Eva Weber, Mayor and initiator of the award, emphasizes the importance of acknowledging women's achievements and raising awareness.

Nominations can be submitted online via an application form. The award ceremony will be a celebration of women's entrepreneurial achievements and a testament to their impact on the economy and society in Augsburg.
