Early-stage companies can now apply for the funded Lab Bench program provided by LifeSciKY, which comes equipped with essential resources for burgeoning companies in the scientific field.
LifeSciKY, a Covington-based life sciences and biotech hub, has opened applications for a sponsored lab bench, funded by a special bourbon release collaboration between New Riff Distilling and Blue North, and a matching donation from Blue North. The deadline for applications is August 31.
The fully-funded lab bench will be located at LifeSciKY's 15,000-square-foot state-of-the-art lab, set to open later this year. The winner of the sponsored lab bench will also receive a full co-working membership at SparkHaus, sponsored by St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
Interested entrepreneurs and start-ups are encouraged to apply if they are early-stage founders working on life sciences and biotech innovations. Applicants can visit LifeSciKY's website (https://lifeski.ky/com) to fill out the online contact form.
The selection process will involve representatives from New Riff Distilling and Blue North, who will choose the winners, with the announcement scheduled for mid-September. The lab space funding comes from the bourbon release and Blue North's donation, which was made possible by the Northern Kentucky Entrepreneur Fund.
LifeSciKY's mission is to provide entrepreneurs with a place to innovate, grow, and succeed, and to elevate the life sciences ecosystem.
