Caroline Bosbach appointed as benefactor of the Quirlberg Hospice.
The fifth anniversary of the stationary hospice at Quirlsberg is set to be celebrated in style, as Bundestag member Caroline Bosbach takes on the role of moderator for a benefit concert on September 27th.
The event, to be held at the Bergischer Löwe, will feature a star-studded lineup, including the Paveiers as the main act, Eldorado, SchlagerGotti, and the Bonn saxophone ensemble. After the concert, all guests are invited to an after-show party with DJ Miguel.
Bosbach, who has been the patron of the Quirlsberg hospice for a year, visited the facility and was deeply impressed by the work and atmosphere. She described it as a place where people live with dignity and love until the end.
"I was struck by the absence of any sense of gloom," Bosbach said, "but rather an atmosphere of respect, warmth, and humanity." She also noted that there was room for humor at the hospice.
The proceeds from the benefit concert will go directly to supporting the hospice work at Quirlsberg. Tickets for the event cost 33 euros and are available at EVK Bergisch Gladbach, the theater box office of the Bergischer Löwe, online at www.bergischerloewe.de, www.eventim.de, and www.koelnticket.de.
Bosbach hopes that many people from Bergisch Gladbach and the region will attend the concert, as she believes it is an important opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of dignified accompaniment at the end of life.
The Quirlsberg hospice has a patron for the first time, and Bosbach's commitment is helping to further its mission. The facility, which has been in existence for five years, provides palliative care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
The search results do not contain information about who will be moderating the large charity concert on September 27th, other than Bosbach herself. It is clear, however, that the event promises to be a memorable one, with music, laughter, and a chance to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
