Caritas Nursing Home's Autumn Festival Delights Residents with Music, Dance, and Reflection
The Caritas Nursing Home St. Josef recently hosted a vibrant autumn festival, organized by Ms. Ulrike Klingelhofer and her team. The event, which was a resounding success, offered residents an afternoon of joy and camaraderie.
The festival kicked off with an ecumenical reflection led by Pastor Anke Heil and Dr. Meins G.S. Coetsier. This set the tone for a day filled with uplifting moments.
Musical entertainment was provided by Tessa Jakobs and her band 'Divine Concern'. They presented their unique project 'Elvis in the Nursing Home', creating a lively and joyful atmosphere in the hall. The band's performance was a highlight of the event, leaving residents tapping their feet and singing along.
Adding to the festivities, the seated dance group of the house performed, demonstrating that movement brings joy at any age. The International Gideon Society also contributed, providing thoughtful texts for encouragement throughout the day.
As the festival drew to a close, Mr. Sebastian Etzel, the director of the facility, took to the stage to express his gratitude. He thanked everyone involved in making the event such a success and wished all the residents a happy autumn.
