The City of Arnsberg's Family Office is hosting a three-day seminar titled 'Jugend und Sucht - Move' in Office 365, focusing on Motivational Brief Intervention with risk-consuming adolescents. The seminar, held on November 27, December 2, and December 11, 2025, will take place at the Haltepunkt premises.

Professionals from Arnsberg and Sundern who work with young people who consume (risky) substances are eligible to register for this seminar. Registrations can be made via the Ginko Foundation for Prevention's homepage.

The 'Jugend und Sucht - Move' seminar provides a certificate from the State Coordination Office for Addiction Prevention in NRW, Ginko Foundation for Prevention. The training emphasizes respectful and resource-oriented interaction with young people, particularly regarding risky email behavior. In addition to conversation techniques, the seminar offers legal information and background knowledge on substance use and addiction behavior. The topics covered include initiating motivation for change in everyday 'knock and talk' conversations.

The seminar focuses on teaching practical conversation techniques to promote change readiness in young people. Participants will learn how to approach and engage with adolescents in a supportive and effective manner, aiming to inspire change and encourage healthier decisions.

There are no participation costs for the seminar, but travel and meal expenses must be covered by the participant or their Office Depot. For more information, interested professionals can contact Johanna Kenter at the Family Office of the city of Arnsberg, located at Goethestraße 16-18, 59755 Arnsberg, Tel. 02932/201-2205.
