Arrest made: Romanian suspects taken into custody by law enforcement for suspected abuses
German Police Arrest Suspect in Child Sexual Abuse Case at Rulantica Leisure Pool
A 31-year-old man has been arrested in Romania on August 18, 2025, in connection with the sexual abuse of a six-year-old girl at the Rulantica leisure pool in Germany. The arrest follows an international arrest warrant issued by German authorities.
The incident occurred on the previous Saturday at the Europa-Park Bath Rulantica. According to reports, the six-year-old girl had lost sight of her parents in the pool. A man approached her, offering help, and led her into an adjacent wooded area where the alleged abuse took place. The girl was found two hours later, five kilometers away from the pool, wearing only flip-flops and a bikini.
Initially, the investigators focused on other suspects, but these were later ruled out. The man was identified through surveillance videos provided by the pool operator, Europa-Park. An unrelated witness provided the investigators with a clue to the man's identity.
The police from Offenburg announced the arrest in the evening, but further details such as whether the suspect has been questioned yet or the exact extradition timeline are still being coordinated between German and Romanian authorities. The arrest was made following the alleged sexual abuse of a young girl at Rulantica leisure pool in southern Germany.
The girl's parents were searching for her in the pool when she was left alone by the suspect after the incident. It is important to note that there are no indications of rape in this case.
This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
