Anyone with a desire to assist is welcome to do so.
In the face of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many elderly and chronically ill individuals in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss find themselves in need of support. To address this issue, the local authorities have launched an innovative solution: an online volunteer portal.
The platform, named "Alles Clara" app, serves as a mediator between those in need of assistance and willing volunteers. It allows support services, facilities, or initiatives that require volunteers to register their needs, and anyone who wants to help can sign up online at rkn.nrw/ehrenamt.
The Rhein-Kreis Neuss's online portal aims to provide simple assistance with daily tasks. Volunteers can help with grocery shopping, pharmacy runs, dog walking, hospital or care facility assistance, or friendly chats. Landrat Hans-Jürgen Petrauschke emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating that ensuring the supply of all its citizens is crucial during these challenging times.
Providers of support services will be connected to volunteers through a registration form on the online platform. This streamlined process ensures that help reaches those who need it most efficiently. With the launch of this online volunteer portal, the Rhein-Kreis Neuss continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting its community during the coronavirus pandemic.
