2024 National Air Quality Conference: A Gathering of Experts

Get ready for the fifth national conference focused on solutions to air pollution and clean air provision, taking place on Wednesday, 6th November, 2024. The event will be held at London's Prospero House, conveniently located near London Bridge and directly opposite Borough Station.

The conference will feature a diverse lineup of speakers, including Fiona Coull and Dr. Diana Varaden from Imperial College London. Fiona, currently working at Cross River Partnership, has previously worked as a consultant on sustainable transport and air quality projects, such as the Mayor's School Air Quality Audit Programme. Dr. Varaden, known for her work in citizen science projects like the Breathe London wearables study, emphasizes the importance of involving non-experts in research and promoting public engagement in health and environmental issues.

Another prominent speaker is Nick Ruxton-Boyle, a chartered transport planner, urban mobility expert, and Director of Environment at Marston Holdings. Nick is passionate about the role transport can play in the environment, the economy, and society, and is currently working on a wide range of air quality projects. During his presentation, he will be joined by a local authority partner to outline a detailed air quality joint project.

Simon Birkett, the Founder and Director of Clean Air in London, will also be speaking at the conference. Simon has been championing full compliance with the World Health Organisation's air quality guidelines since 2006 and has served as the first and only air pollution stakeholder on UNEP's High Level Inter-Governmental and Stakeholder Advisory Group for its Sixth Global Environment Outlook between 2015 and 2019.

The conference will also feature a traditional panel session, for which AQN is in the process of acquiring experts. The exhibition will showcase organizations offering solutions to air quality challenges.

Super Early Bird tickets for the conference are currently on sale. You can purchase them using a form on the specified page. For more information about the conference, including confirmed speakers, we recommend checking the official event websites or contacting the organizers directly.

The exhibition will showcase organizations working towards solutions in environmental science, particularly mental-health and health-and-wellness, contributing to the betterment of the community.
