AI-enhanced Workplace Mental Health Platform, Moodwork, Secures €3.1M for Expansion in France
Mental Health Startup Moodwork Secures €3.1 Million in Funding
In a significant move to address the growing demand for workplace mental health solutions across Europe, Paris-based Moodwork has raised €3.1 million in fresh funding. The investment round was led by French VC firm Newfund, with business angels Guy Lacroix and Alain Dublin also participating.
Founded by Benjamin Brion and now joined by Co-CEO Gregory Salinger, Moodwork provides consulting, training, and evaluation services to help companies tackle employee well-being. Salinger, who has held senior roles at Microsoft and Apax Partners, brings a wealth of experience to the startup.
Moodwork's platform combines scientific research, psychological support, and AI-based personalization to offer individual support, HR and leadership tools, and company-wide assessments. The goal is to identify risks before they escalate and provide tailored solutions for executives, healthcare staff, industrial workers, and logistics professionals.
The funding will be used to expand Moodwork's product suite, grow its workforce, and adapt its tools for various industries. The company's focus remains on scientific validation and tailored solutions, building its presence in the market.
The need for mental health solutions in the workplace is increasingly being recognised, with the French government designating 2025 as the "Great National Cause" for mental health. Issues such as workplace stress and burnout are being highlighted, and Moodwork's platform, when used for six months, correlates with a 13% drop in burnout risk and a 9% decrease in stress levels.
Moodwork's success comes as other mental health startups, such as UK-based Spill and Unmind, as well as Dutch startup OpenUp, are gaining traction in the market. With the increasing demand for mental health solutions, it seems that Moodwork is well-positioned to make a significant impact.
