Abused young women lured from Rulantica spa establishment
In a shocking turn of events, a 31-year-old Romanian man is being sought internationally by German authorities for the alleged sexual abuse of a six-year-old girl at the Rulantica water park in Rust, Germany.
The incident occurred on a Saturday evening, around 8:20 PM, when the suspect reportedly lured the child from the crowded indoor area and led her into a nearby wooded area, where the assault is said to have taken place. The young girl was later found wandering alone, wearing swim clothes, approximately two hours later.
Surveillance footage and witness identification led to the suspect’s identification. He is described as having a full black beard and short dark hair, but it is believed that he may have altered his appearance. The suspect has a prior criminal record for theft and fraud but no known previous sexual offenses.
Initially, police followed up on leads about another suspect, but they were quickly ruled out. The park has briefed all 700 employees and is operating on high alert.
The suspect is believed to have fled to Romania, and authorities have issued an international arrest warrant while conducting a comprehensive cross-border manhunt. It is suspected that he may have already left the country, and efforts are underway to locate him across borders.
The Rulantica water park, which opened in Rust in November 2019 and is a play on words combining "Rust" and "Atlantis", has expressed deep concern over the incident. The Europa-Park management has expressed their sorrow and maintains contact with the victim's family.
This case has raised concerns about safety in crowded recreational areas and follows other recent incidents of sexual harassment at pools and water parks in Germany and neighboring countries. No further public details on the current legal proceedings or the suspect’s status post-arrest have been disclosed as of the latest updates from late August 2025.
